Google’s first public Android Q beta is now available for Pixel phones

The Android Q Beta 1 has been released, with Google pushing out the first preview version of its upcoming major Android release. The update will be available to supported devices later this year.

Google has also provided users with options to control an apps' access to photos, videos or audio collections via new runtime permissions.

Some low-level system changes to Android ensure that apps will open faster than in previous versions.
