"It's going to change everything because I'm unemployed", he told reporters Thursday.

"Think about it", she said.

However, there's one thing his money can't buy and that is the affections of his ex-wife, Eileen Murray, who revealed to the New York Post that she doesn't regret ending their 15-year marriage and insists she doesn't want him back.

"I'm looking for the guy that handed them in", Weirsky said.

The ex-wife of New Jersey's newest millionaire said even after her former husband won the $273 million Mega Millions jackpot that she still wants nothing to do with him.

Weirsky had spent hours searching for the tickets when he got to his home in Alpha, New Jersey, near the Pennsylvania border. "I just didn't believe that it was me after all these years of playing".

James Carey, the executive director of the New Jersey Lottery, says if that person had kept the ticket for themselves, they would have been able to claim the winnings.

Ethiopian Airlines plane with 157 people on board crashes minutes after take-off
A prominent Kenyan soccer official is believed to be among 157 people killed in a plane crash in Ethiopia on Sunday. It has a good safety record and the newest fleet of planes on the African continent, according to its website .

Weirsky is taking the lump sum of $162.5 million and said he has bought a new truck and plans to buy a vehicle for his mother but has not made any other big decisions on how he will spend his fortune.

"I couldn't believe I was the victor of more than $2 after playing after all these years", he said.

"After that I'm basically locked in to what my lawyer and other people I have working for me tell me I can do", he said. "I try to take that with me everywhere I go".

"If you have a winning ticket, we always urge our players: Sign that ticket right away", Carey said at the news conference.

"Think about it. How long did I work?"

He added that he wants to find the stranger who turned his winning ticket in after he left a Quick Chek in Phillipsburg, rather than taking it, and reward them for their honesty. He said he hoped to find the person. "I'm going to give him something, but I'm going to keep that private".
