FBI opened probe into whether Trump was working for Russians

Giuliani told The Hill on Thursday that the president's legal team should be allowed to review and "correct" the report before it is released to Congress.

Earlier on Friday, Giuliani sounded a little less confident, requesting that the Trump administration get the opportunity to "correct" the final Mueller report: "As a matter of fairness, they should show it to you - so we can correct it if they're wrong". They're not God, after all.

"We have a memo from a number of campaign finance experts that paying what they call hush money, since it has a personal objective, is not considered a campaign contribution", Giuliani said. We have reserved executive privilege and we have a right to assert it.

Giuliani said that the legal team must be able to review the report before it is made public in order to protect executive privilege. "In the face of those lies, a whole lot of good people... believe that nonsense", Comey told reporters in the halls of the US Senate on December 17.

The inquiry forced counterintelligence investigators to evaluate whether Trump was a potential threat to national security, and they also sought to determine whether Trump was deliberately working for Russian Federation or had unintentionally been influenced by Moscow.

Rudolph Giuliani, one of Trump's attorneys, also downplayed the significance of the investigation.

Workers at GM’s Canada plant hold work stoppage over closure
A variety of armoured reconnaissance vehicles, gun tractors and softskin trucks lined up at the GM Oshawa plant in October 1942. GM said in a letter to Dias that it had already considered several proposals including those the union raised at the meeting.

The House Oversight and Reform Committee announced Thursday that Cohen will testify before that panel february 7, a little more than a month after the Democrats took the House majority.

Neal Katyal, the former acting solicitor general under President Obama, wrote that any Trump attempts to hide parts of the report from the public would be defeated in court.

The Times reported Friday that the probe looking into whether Trump was working for Russian Federation was later folded into Mueller's investigation. "We weren't convinced they had any questions they don't know the answer to".

No evidence has been revealed publicly asserting that Trump had secret contact with or was influenced by Russian government officials, and spokespeople for both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and special counsel's office refused to comment.

Agents and senior FBI officials had grown suspicious of Trump's ties to Russian Federation during the 2016 campaign but held off on opening an investigation into him, the people said, in part because they were uncertain how to proceed with an inquiry of such sensitivity and magnitude.
