Yannick Carrasco offered to Arsenal as Belgian eyes move back to Europe

Yannick Carrasco offered to Arsenal as Belgian eyes move back to Europe

Arsenal are in the hunt to nab Porto midfielder Hector Herrera on a free transfer in the summer, according to Tuttomercato.

The side is now fifth in the Premier League table, and seem to return to winning ways after two successive victories in the Premier League and the FA Cup third round fixture.

The report also claimed that AC Milan are interested in Carrasco, but the Belgium worldwide is understood to favour a move to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old left Atletico Madrid for the Chinese Super League less than a year ago, with the Belgium worldwide contributing seven goals and five assists from 25 appearances.

The Belgian winger was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, as the Old Trafford side pushed to bring Carrasco back to Europe.

The settlement is the second between the USA government and an automaker over allegations of cheating on diesel emissions. The practice was discovered in September 2015 when Volkswagen admitted to using them.

Arsenal have been a mixed bag this season under Unai Emery and although they deserve massive credit for keeping in touch with the top four, the Spaniard still needs to address a lot of problems in the ongoing January transfer window.

However, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur (via Daily Mail), Yannick Carrasco has been offered to Arsenal. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has appeared inconsistent while Alex Iwobi can not be trusted as a regular starter, leaving the Gunners quite shallow in their squad depth.

It was earlier reported that Manchester United are not the only club eyeing a signature for the 25-year-old Belgian winger.

Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Gunners are at the front of the queue to sign Carrasco from Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang.

The midfielder is yet to agree new terms with the Portuguese club, with Atletico Madrid, Roma and Wolves also said to be interested in his services.
