Google Celebrates New Year’s Eve With Playful Doodle

Search engine Google on Monday dedicated its doodle to mark New Year's eve with an animated doodle, blowing up balloons and chomping on popcorn.

This year's Google Doodle for New Year's Eve 2018, shows two cartoonish purple elephants. "One of the coolest element of this Google Doodle, marking the New Year's Eve 2018, is the clock at the top that replaces the second 'O" in the Google brand name.

The Lexington Police Department posted a few photos online depicting the heartbroken officers with their heads cast down. Police departments around the country were quick to send messages of support to their colleagues. "We feel your loss".

A Google Doodle is a special, momentary modification of the logo on Google's homepages that celebrates events, people and achievements. Talking about the doodle in its official post the company said, "A mammoth pile of balloons?"

Clicking on the doodle will take you to the places where people across countries are waiting for New Year 2019. "Elephants never forget. Happy New Year's Eve!". Above them the wall is decorated festoons and a clock which is moments away from striking midnight, thus signifying New Year 2018. It is also interesting to note that more than 24 times people around the world count from 10 to 1 in order to welcome the new year. The celebration which starts in the old year goes on past midnight and into the new year. Last year, the Google doodle for New Year's Eve consists of a family of birds, which included parrots and penguins.
