How one game helped this company earn a profit of $3 billion

While it's a little freaky that a free to play game gets bundled with a console, you should know that there's a portion of Fortnite which is actually paid.

The bundle, introduced last September, offered an Xbox One S alongside an exclusive Fortnite: Battle Royale cosmetic set themed after the Xbox brand, 2,000 V-Bucks and "a full-game download of Fortnite". It's worth reminding that Tencent acquired roughly 40% of the company's stakes in 2012 and other minority shareholders include Endeavor and Disney, though CEO and Founder Tim Sweeney still maintains control of the company.

Few months ago, an Xbox One S Fortnite bundle was announced similarly to what happened with Nintendo Switch and PS4.

"While Fortnite is its most prolific release, Epic also makes money from other games, Unreal Engine and a recently launched online game store that rivals Steam".

Instagram briefly switched to horizontal feed
According to another tweet by Mosseri , "If you're still seeing it you can simply restart your app and you should be good to go". Yesterday, Instagram shifted the vertical scrolling to horizontal feed for some users but it was just for testing objective .

"We realized that the business really needed to change its approach quite significantly". Epic Games said in a press note that this investment made them think big. However, the enormous $3 billion profit did trigger an excitement wave in the employees of the company.

That is, of course, when Fortnite was fresh on iOS, non-existent on Android and with fewer overall players. Obviously, the popularity of Fortnite largely anchors the company's success this year. In a statement on Reddit, Epic Games agreed at least with the confusion that the wording caused. That makes the world's most popular game playable anytime, anyplace, and with solid controls to boot.

According to the most recent data from analytics firm Sensor Tower, iOS users alone were spending $1.23 million per day on Fortnite. Customers are promised a free title every two weeks.
