During the last flu season, only 39.5 percent of MI residents were vaccinated against flu, which is below the national rate of 41.7 percent. New cases of influenza were reported in 58 out of New York's 62 counties. The dashboard displays the number of laboratory-confirmed influenza cases by county, week and influenza type (A, B or not specified) for the current season and the three previous seasons.

State health officials say 10 people have died of the flu in North Carolina for the 2018-2019 season so far. The CDC reported six pediatric deaths, 4,310 infectionsand 18 weeks of widespread outbreaks.

Colorado health officials said the 2017-2018 flu season was one of the worst on record in Colorado. This announcement put into effect a regulation requiring that healthcare workers who are not vaccinated against influenza wear surgical or procedure masks in areas where patients are typically present. As of December 22, nine states are experiencing high flu activity, while seven states and Puerto Rico are experiencing moderate flu activity.
