Leaked renders show off rumored Motorola P40 with punch-hole camera

The leak is a 360° video render and images courtesy of OnLeaks in collaboration with 91mobiles and they give us our very first look at the device. As of now, there are no reports when will the P40 go official and also whether the phone will come to India or not considering the predecessor of it - P30 - never hit the global markets. The Motorola P30 didn't launch outside China, so this means the P40 will get an worldwide launch though most probably under a different name just like the other P30 phones.

The hole that houses the front camera sits in the top left corner and appears to be a tad bigger than that of the Samsung Galaxy A8s. There are slim bezels around the screen, save for the chin that's large enough to fit Motorola's branding.

The punch-hole is slowly becoming a trend as more and more manufacturers are adopting the approach of drilling a hole in the screen and place the front-facing camera there. On top of that, it even ditches the traditional notched display for a punch-hole design. However, this is just a render and the device itself may be a bit different. The P40 also gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that has a Motorola logo on it.

The pictures have the selfie camera as a hole on the top left of the 6.2-inch display; camera details are now unavailable.

The Android One logo can also be seen at the back of the P40, near the bottom.

There's now no word on the P40's release date or pricing, but even so, is this a phone you think you'll consider buying in 2019?

At the left of the smartphone, it is seen that there will be SIM tray while the right edge has the volume and power buttons. The P40 will sport dual camera setup on the back panel which will be aligned in a vertical fashion. There's a 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone as well - thank goodness.
