The latest Game of Throne trailer teases the series' final season

HBO has released the first tease for the upcoming final season of the hit fantasy series Game of Thrones. The teaser starts off with ice and fire sweeping across the map of fictional world Westeros, possibly a take on the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series that the show is based on.

As soon as there is some actual information about season 8 of Game of Thrones we will let you know.

All good? Let's point out a few things you may have noticed. The dragon also freezes, not exactly sure what that's implying, unless the White Walkers snag another one of Daenerys' babies. "It's an incredibly emotional haunting bittersweet final season and I think it honors very much what [author George R.R. Martin] set out to do - which is flipping this kind of story on its head".

Canada arrests CFO of China's Huawei Technologies
David Mulroney, a former Canadian ambassador to China, said USA and Canadian business executives could face reprisals in China. Huawei's smaller rival ZTE Corp pleaded guilty previous year to conspiring to evade embargoes by selling US equipment to Iran.

The Game of Thrones season 8 teaser arranges itself as a conflict between the forces of fire and ice. Fire engulfs a lion figure (a nod to House Lannister), and at the end of the clip, the two elements clash in the middle, likely representing a pretty epic battle in the series' final season.

Game of Thrones will be followed by a prequel spin-off which is expected to premiere as early as 2020 and stars Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse (Poldark). If the result is dragonglass, it's worth noting that's one of the few ways White Walkers can be killed.
