Apple facing 10% increase in products price ahead of US-China summit

US President Donald Trump and China's President Xi Jinping are scheduled to dine together on Saturday at the end of the G20 meeting in Buenos Aires, probably the last opportunity to avert an escalation of trade hostilities that are slowing China's economy and starting to have repercussions in the US as well. The head of the U.S. National Economic Council says there's a good possibility a deal can be achieved to cool down the ongoing U.S. - Sino trade war, but warns the Trump administration will consider additional tariffs if no deal is struck.

The CIA reportedly has told Trump that Prince Mohammed, who has close ties to the administration, was behind the brutal murder of dissident journalist and U.S. resident Jamal Khashoggi.

According to The Wall Street Journal, if negotiations dont produce a favorable outcome for the United States, additional goods for $200 billion, will be slapped with up to 25% tariffs, including consumer electronics by Apple and other products manufactured in China.

"We've only used a small portion of what we have to use because I have another US$267 billion to go if I want", Trump said, referring to the remainder of Chinese goods not yet subject to import duties.

Trump campaigned on reducing the trade imbalance with China, which totaled $335.4 billion past year.

Nintendo's Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales Top $250 Million
As far as lifetime sales are concerned, the Switch has reached more than 8.2 million sales since its launch a year ago . In total , U.S. hardware sales for Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday increased 45% over the same period in 2017.

"What I'd advise is for them to build factories in the United States and to make the product here", Trump said "And they have a lot of other alternatives". Since then, communications have picked up between the two sides, said Kudlow. "I can make it 10%, and people could stand that very easily", he said in an interview earlier this week.

Under the shadow of the trade war, during the third quarter this year China experienced its slowest growth in 10 years, according to the latest economic figures to come out of the country. Bolton said the Trump-Abe bilateral meeting would expand into a trilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi.

He added that there will also be discussion around the United States emerging as "the dominant energy power in the world today".

Previously enacted tariffs are already seeping into prices for consumer products sold in the USA - from handbags to food to bicycles - as the G-20 summit begins.

Trump told The Washington Post on Tuesday that "maybe I won´t have the meeting".
