DEMS IN DENIAL: Sen. Bill Nelson Files NEW LAWSUIT Over 'Unconventional' Ballots

That's caused mismatched results with the recount of 174,000 early voting ballots, forcing workers to go back and redo their work with no time to spare.

Mr Scott declared victory on election night, but slow vote-counting in Democrat-leaning Broward and Palm Beach counties narrowed the race to within the margin that dictates a recount.

The midterm election madness continued Tuesday night in Florida, with Sen.

The recounts would determine Nelson's race, the governor's race between Republican Ron DeSantis and Democrat Andrew Gillum, the race for agriculture and consumer services commissioner and a handful of state Congressional races.

In 2003 Bush appointed her to the supervisor's position after her predecessor, Miriam Oliphant, was removed from office because of numerous problems in the 2002 primary election. As of November 10 when the recount was ordered, Scott was about 13,000 votes ahead of U.S. Sen. Democrats have urged state officials to do whatever it takes to make sure every vote is counted.

President Trump has also gotten involved in the Florida recount.

But FDLE spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger said that no allegation of voter fraud has been sent to the Florida Department of State, which oversees elections. Rubio has alleged there have been rampant violations of election laws in Florida, but legal authorities in the state have found no evidence of any offences.

The two sides will meet in federal court in Tallahassee on Wednesday in hopes of getting a major ruling on vote counting in the state.

Marc Elias, a campaign attorney for Nelson, argued ahead of the looming court battle that "we should all be able to agree that the goal here is a legal and accurate count".

Meanwhile, the elections supervisor in heavily Republican Bay County said he allowed about 150 people to cast ballots by email, the Miami Herald reported. "We have to be careful about what we say".

Other issues have arisen outside of Broward and Palm Beach Counties. They are now working on Early Voting ballots. Bill Nelson, who trails Gov.

Snipes, a Democrat, has been under the microscope and painted as a biased elections supervisor who has a history of bad elections. He demanded that the election night results - which showed the Republicans leading based upon incomplete ballot counts - be used to determine the victor.

The recount that is underway is mandated by state law. Bill Nelson, effectively replied: You're kidding me, right?

Pompeo: US Hopes to Work With China on Iran Sanctions Issues
The bans had been lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Friday his country hopes to work with China on sanctions imposed on Iran.

Will they recount ballots by hand?

He aggressively campaigned in the state, putting his finger on the scales of the Republican gubernatorial primary this summer by endorsing DeSantis.

It's not clear, however, if Gievers' ruling will remain in place.

White House spokesperson Mercedes Schlapp said Tuesday the president "obviously has his opinion" on the recount.

The ballot counting equipment used in Palm Beach County has been in use for over a decade, and the state's recount deadline is "irresponsible", she said.

"I've worked here for about 15 years, and I have to say this the first time that this office or I have been under such attacks", Snipes told reporters Monday.

"It's just plain wrong".

Trump went on to allege that "new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged", and that ballots are "massively infected".

Nelson has accused Scott of "using his power as governor to undermine the voting process".

The race for governor isn't quite as close.

State law requires a machine recount in races where the margin is less than 0.5%.

Broward's elections operations coordinator, Fred Bellis, said he still had full confidence the county would finish the recount by the 3 p.m. Thursday deadline.

Jim Bonfiglio, a Democrat running for the Legislature, filed the lawsuit asking that recount deadlines be suspended. Schumer said of Scott: "He's a contestant in this election and can't possibly be trusted to be a neutral and fair arbiter as the votes are tallied".
