Nasri closing in on Premier League return - Premier League 2018

Former France midfielder Samir Nasri is to undergo a medical at West Ham before a proposed move to the London club.

Nasri is now 31 and currently serving an 18-month ban for an anti-doping violation for using a drip treatment at a Los Angeles clinic.

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini wants to sign Nasri, who he deployed to great effect during their time together at Manchester City, and he has been free to train with the squad since the beginning of November.

Samir was one of the first casualties of the Pep Guardiola era, going on loan to La Liga's Sevilla in 2016-17 before making a surprise move to Turkish side Antalyaspor, which lasted just half a season before his contract was mutually terminated.

Rocket Lab's New Zealand launch pad is located on the tip of the Mahia Peninsula, between Napier and Gisborne. There are at least 150 firms working on small rockets, although most probably will never get off the ground.

Pellegrini is on the lookout for greater depth in midfield with summer signing from Borussia Dortmund, Andriy Yarmolenko, ruled out for six months with a torn Achilles.

In August, Uefa won an appeal for the ban to be increased to 18 months, backdated from July 1, 2017, although Nasri has played since then.

They also rank 13th for chances created across the division as well as 11th for goals scored which perhaps highlights why Pellegrini is interested in recruiting an attack-minded midfield player of Nasri's ilk.

Reports have suggested that the Hammers hold an interest in Nasri, who is available on a free transfer with his doping ban due to end at the end of 2018.
