James, Lakers hold off Wolves

After a disappointing loss at Staples Centre to the Toronto Raptors, Lebron James and the La Lakers bounced back with a narrow win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves, who entered 19th in the National Basketball Association in 3-pointers made at 10.3 per game, went 20-for-40 from beyond the arc. Many around the league questioned LeBron James' move to the Lakers after the superstar signed a four-year free agent deal with them.

The Los Angeles Lakers were -22 over their past five games in the rebounding battle prior to Thursday's game against the Wolves.

James led the Lakers with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists to finish just a dish shy of his 75th triple-double while Kuzma drained 6 of his 21 points in the final minute to help the Lakers stay afloat.

Former Suns center Tyson Chandler has become the latest veteran to sign up with the Lakers. Through the incredibly small sample size of one game, the results have been good, as Chandler made life hell for Karl-Anthony Towns in the team's 114-110 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Josh Hart provides a spark off the bench with 21 points while Kyle Kuzma adds 21 points of his own. It seems lately that the young team is combusting under the pressure associated with playing alongside the greatest player in the world-a player who expects success just as much as others expect it of him. And until Wednesday night, he had played 1,086 career games - but zero with his hometown Lakers.
