Andrew Gillum waffles on concession in Florida governor's race

In the Senate contest that Scott was running in, Democrat Bill Nelson was trailing by "about 15,000 votes, a margin of 0.18 points".

As of Thursday, razor-thin margins of less than 0.5 percentage points separated the candidates in both races. Should the races meet the requirements for a recount at that time, every single ballot in the state will be fed into machines for digital tallying.

Nelson was been viewed as one of the more vulnerable Democrats thanks to the formidable challenge from Scott, a multimillionaire businessman who has poured more than $60 million of his own fortune into his campaign.

"Concerned citizen sees ballots being transported in private vehicles & transferred to rented truck on Election night", Canova wrote in his tweet that contained the video. The initial vote count won't be finalized until Saturday at noon.

The race during Tuesday's midterm USA election was one of America's most-watched, with the outgoing governor Scott mounting a tough challenge against three-time incumbent Nelson.

Political experts are hopeful that any recount won't be a repeat of the 2000 Presidential election.

The Florida governor's race appeared to be all but settled Tuesday night when Gillum conceded to DeSantis.

Mr Nelson said in a public statement on Wednesday: "We are proceeding to a recount" despite his opponent already claiming victory in the swing state. Bill Nelson who locked in a recount with Rick Scott for that seat.

Nelson's elections lawyer, Marc Elias, a veteran of prominent recounts around the country, told reporters Thursday morning that he expects the gap to narrow and reach the manual-recount threshold.

By contrast, 690,153 ballots have been tabulated so far in the Florida governor race.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for Malaysia on a three-day visit in the third week of November, sources told ARY News on Thursday.

"It has become clear there are many more uncounted ballots than was originally reported", she said in a statement.

Elias opened a call with reporters on Friday l by highlighting how the split between Scott and Nelson has shrunk since Election Day and confidently said he believed, after all votes are counted correctly, Nelson would prevail the victor.

Attorneys for Florida Governor Rick Scott have filed a lawsuit demanding public records from Broward County that will help them answer three crucial questions about the outcome of the U.S. Senate race between Scott and Democrat Bill Nelson: how many voters cast ballots, how many ballots have been counted, and how many ballots remain to be counted.

Nelson released a videotaped statement Friday afternoon accusing Scott of abusing his office to undermine democracy and "stop a complete and accurate counting of all the votes in Florida".

Broward Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes said she didn't know how many ballots remain to be counted, but all were being processed. George W. Bush won the presidency by 537 Florida votes over Al Gore after the U.S. Supreme Court ultimately declared an end to the counting.

The Florida governor's race appeared to be much closer to settled on Tuesday night when Democrat Andrew Gillum conceded to Republican Ron DeSantis.

"We will litigate until we have determined that every person's vote has been counted", Chandler said. Federal and state law mandates that ballots not be destroyed until 22 months after an election. On Friday, he led by 0.21 percentage point, low enough to require a recount.

Scott and Nelson, meanwhile, have hired lawyers and have demanded information on those who cast provisional ballots on Tuesday.

Over in Miramar, a teacher came across a box labeled "PROVISIONAL BALLOT BOX" at Sunshine Elementary.

He added: "We're doing this not just because it's automatic, but we're doing it to win".
