Celtics' Jabari Bird arrested on assault charges, being 'guarded' in hospital

Boston Celtics guard Jabari Bird has been arrested and facing charges for assault, strangling and kidnapping, according to TMZ.

Bird, 24, was being guarded by police at a hospital and was undergoing evaluation after the incident on Friday in the city's Brighton neighborhood, police said on Saturday.

Jabari Bird, a second-year player for the Boston Celtics, was arrested and is in police custody as of Saturday morning. The victim is being treated at another hospital.

The Celtics seem to be as unclear on the specifics as the rest of us. "We are actively gathering information and will reserve further comment at this time", the team said in a statement.

The back-and-forth over the debt was just the first clash between Cohn and Trump on economic policy, according to Woodward's book. Woodward said he interviewed "over a hundred" people for the book, adding, "I would say that maybe half of those are key people".

He could be arraigned as early as Monday in Brighton District Court.

Domestic violence is a serious matter and I'm sure the Celtics organization will address this situation once they gather more details. In 20 games for the Maine Red Claws last season, he averaged 35 minutes, 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game, per Basketball-Reference.

A message left with Bird's agent, Aaron Goodwin, was not immediately returned.

Bird was the 56th overall pick in the 2017 draft and spent the 17-18 season on a two-way contract. You're sitting on the bench and watching, I'm watching guys at my position, I'm trying to envision, like, what would I do in that situation?
