Kellyanne Conway Has Trouble Naming A Top Black White House Aide

White House aide Kellyanne Conway told ABC's This Week on Sunday that the first time she heard her former colleague suggest "those very bad things" was in the book. She was given an office, an assistant and the highest salary afforded an administration staffer.

Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former reality TV star turned White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison said she declined a $15,000 a month offer from the Trump campaign after she was sacked from the White House. Newman provided what she said were copies of those agreements to "Meet the Press". She also makes the accusation that he is losing his mental faculties.

"If I did not have this recording, people would still believe the false, incredible story that I was running around the White House", she explained.

Manigault Newman worked in the White House for almost a year as an assistant to the president and the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

The audio recording can be heard below.

Manigault Newman's book and recent revelations about her recordings have received significant pushback from the White House, and numerous claims she has made are unverifiable, leading to finger-pointing and accusations of dishonesty from both Manigault Newman and top Trump allies.

The White House responded by slamming the book and its author and chastising the press for writing about it.

"The president works with the secretary every day", she said.

Erdogan to Trump: Shame on You, Shame on You
Turkey has accused Andrew Craig Brunson of spying and " committing crimes on behalf of terror groups without being a member". Erdogan has been putting pressure on the central bank to not raise interest rates in order to keep fueling economic growth.

Omarosa Manigault, White House Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison, talks with aides prior to a news conference by U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House in Washington, U.S., February 16, 2017.

President Donald Trump visits with members of Bikers for Trump and supporters, Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, outside the clubhouse of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. 'Since Trump was ever the germaphobe, I was shocked he appeared to be chewing and swallowing the paper.

"We're going to talk to you about leaving the White House", Kelly tells Newman in the recording.

According to the Post, an excerpt from Unhinged also claims that Lara Trump, the President's daughter-in-law, and adviser offered Omarosa a job after she was sacked from The White House.

Omarosa Manigault has a book coming out and she's wasting no time to promote it.

Others are being denied by the White House, some more forcefully than others; a description about the drama of installing a tanning bed in the White House residence is untrue, officials insisted, claiming there is no such apparatus in Trump's home.

But Newman pushed back against her critics by arguing that she can substantiate her claims in the book.

But in the battle of credibility between a scorned staffer and an administration that routinely lies, few winners emerge.
