Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool will go again after Champions League final loss

Liverpool have not won the title since 1990 and boss Jurgen Klopp is still waiting for his first trophy after three years on Merseyside.

A lot has happened at Liverpool since May's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid. You need to have the right personality for that very hard job.

"However, I'm going to go with Naby Keita".

The former Basel, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan winger is upbeat about how things will go at Liverpool this season, who launch their Premier League campaign at Anfield today against West Ham. We beat Manchester City in the league and the Champions League last season, so I think we can win everything in the world.

And so Klopp and Liverpool have finally been able to build on something without losing a key player (ir changing manager) - and that could be invaluable. "Obviously he was not feeling really well so we sent him home again and I didn't see him so far and I didn't ask anybody, so we will see", Klopp said of the Brazilian.

As for other scoring options, Daniel Sturridge won't start but he's been Liverpool's top scorer in pre-season and the rejuvenated striker could be worth a look for last goal at 7/2.

"So why should I tell him?"

"If Liverpool can get some impetus, then we don't know how Manchester City will react under pressure if a team can stay close to them at the end of the season".

The champions are Manchester City. "That's why I am backing Jurgen Klopp's side to pip them to the title".

"I do not know (if Liverpool can win the league)", he said.

"I don't think too much about what we have to do in general".

'It's about making the right decisions in the right moments. City got three points from us, we got three points from them.

They've also enjoyed feasting on West Ham's defence in recent games, winning this fixture 4-1 back in February and also sticking four past the Londoners in their last two trips south. "That is the case and a fact".
