Three people are wanted in a weird heist involving a stolen shark from the San Antonio Aquarium.
Other surveillance camera angles show the two men and a woman walking through the aquarium; one of the men carefully placing the bundled up shark inside a baby stroller and both men wheeling the stroller out into the parking lot.
Three people in San Antonio managed to walk out of an aquarium with a baby shark, but the shark was safely returned Monday night.
The 16-inch-long horn shark was stolen from our tide pool exhibit while the attendant was assisting other guests. Aquarium staff were sent to the location of the shark.
The nearly cartoon-like heist, which the local police initially thought was a hoax, played out on Saturday afternoon in San Antonio Aquarium, as it was packed with unsuspecting visitors. He then calmly walks away from the tank while cradling the shark, followed by another man who appears to be holding a blanket. San Antonio police are seeking tips that will lead them to the suspects - and the shark.

An aquarium employee attempted to stand up to the man in the parking lot, insisting he open the trunk of his truck. "[He] very much knew what he was doing - kept that animal alive and was able to continue to see that animal thrive, which was pretty shocking to all of us", Leon Valley Police Chief Joseph Salvaggio said, as cited by KSAT12.
Salvaggio said he's not sure the shark will make it through the ordeal.
Security footage indicated that the suspects brought their own net to capture the horn shark. It is unclear if the person who posted it was also responsible for taking the shark.
Salvaggio said that when they first got the call, he and his officers thought it was a "hoax" because Discovery Channel hosted its famous "Shark Week" the week prior.
