Resident Evil 2 originally launched in 1998 and is considered a cult classic.

By reimagining Resident Evil 2 from a brand new perspective with a brand new engine, Capcom is delivering what could be the definitive version of one of the best horror games ever made. Perhaps the biggest change is the switch to an over-the-shoulder camera, like the one used in Resident Evil 4, as opposed to the fixed camera angles seen in the PS1-era Resident Evil games. The trailers and gameplay footage that have been released since then have answered a lot of questions fans may have had about the game, but they failed to address whether or not the Resident Evil 2 remake will bring back some of the more obscure characters, like Umbrella operative HUNK and Tofu.

The first trailer for Resident Evil 2 Remake serves as an effective teaser for a game many people thought they'd never actually see. Like the Resident Evil remake for GameCube back in 2002, this game was also built from the ground up. Along with college student Claire Redfield, who is briefly glimpsed in the new trailer, Kennedy must escape his overrun precinct and navigate his way out of the city of the insatiable dead.
