Fortnite supports cross-play between Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

While a Switch port of Fortnite was more or less an inevitability given the game's massive success, rumors of an E3 release started swirling earlier this month when a listing for the game appeared on the Korean Ratings Board website.

It's important to note that the Switch version of Fortnite only features the free Battle Royale mode and not the PvE-centric Save the World campaign. So, if you are a Fortnite lover, and you are a Switch owner, the game is available right now for you to grab. As The Verge explains, there's one other side-effect PS4 users need to be reminded of. Just as well, there's been no mention of cross-platform multiplayer, though if it's possible on Switch, it's something Epic will probably push for given the cross-platform functionality present in other versions of the game.

"Neither the Fortnite website nor Epic Customer Service are able to change this". They've made some concessions here and there - Rocket League has cross-play between PS4 and PC, Fortnite has cross-play between PS4, PC, Mac, and mobile.
